Mission

Overcome the defences of the enemy, one quadrant at a time. Build 3 motherships in the enemy region to secure it (best of 5 for the starting 6x6 gameboard).

Be careful as some attacks will produce an Echo the enemy can trace

Instructions

Each region consists of quadrants and each quadrant is a portal to the corresponding quadrant in the enemy region.

To Start

  • Each player will select 5 home quadrants to deploy ships - (This will increase with larger gameboards)
  • Choose 3 ships to fuel (you can only attack with ships that have fuel - This will increase with larger game boards)

On Each Turn

Choose whether to attack the enemy or fuel one ship (ships with no fuel will be grey).

Fuel

  • If you choose to fuel, this will complete your turn.

Attack

  • If you choose to attack, tap on one of your fueled ships, then choose a quadrant to deploy it to. This will travel through the portal to attack the corresponding quadrant in the enemy region.
  • If there is a ship there, you will destroy the enemy ship, building a Mothership to secure the quadrant.
  • If your attack fails, your ship will return to the quadrant it was deployed to, within your region.

The Echo

When you travel back through through a portal (following a failed attack), you leave an echo which the enemy can track, however due to the instability of the portal due to being used again so quickly, your ship is knocked off course landing you in a nearby quadrant. The enemy can trace the echo to your target quadrant but as you are off course, they will only know your general vicinity that you travelled from (a quadrants next to your ships location).

Attack to win, but understand that each failed attack risks your own destruction.

Development Notes

This is a "Vibe Coding" project.

As a casual creator with limited coding experience, I decided to experiment with AI Studio to see if I could use it to bring my P2P multiplayer space battle game to life.
